SIMON EMANUEL

Simon Emanuel is a Welsh stand-up comedian and radio personality performing live across the UK and Europe. Since starting in 2008, he has built a successful career sharing the stage with some of the biggest names in comedy and appearing at top clubs nationally and internationally.
Known for his manic energy, quick wit, far-flung observations, and abstract punchlines, Simon is a firm favourite wherever he performs.
In 2012, after a successful Fringe run, Simon moved to Norway where he became the house MC at the Oslo Comedy Club. During that time he toured the Scandinavian comedy circuit, performing in Sweden, Denmark, and Finland.
Back in the UK, he won the Welsh Unsigned Stand-Up of the Year Award (2013), appeared on Rhod Gilbert’s BBC Radio Wales show, and supported Alan Davies at the prestigious Cardiff Comedy Gala in the Millennium Centre.
From 2015 to 2018 he was a regular on BBC Radio Wales’s Jamie Owen Show, delivering his unique comedic take on the week’s news and current affairs. In 2016, Simon began working with the Sky channel Made in Cardiff, co-hosting the satirical show Bad Press alongside Ignacio Lopez, as well as contributing to The Lowdown and Live at the Glee. In 2017, he supported Tom Green on his European tour, and since 2018 he has been a writer and performer for the BBC Sesh.
In 2020, Simon made his televised stand-up debut on the BBC with Stand Up for Sesh.
Since 2024, Simon has co-hosted the hit comedy podcast The Problematic Pub, which achieved over 30 million streams and downloads in its first year. The show’s runaway success led to a sold-out UK tour in 2025.
